Mentors

Make a difference in the life of a child by building a positive relationship through mentoring. Assist with homework and spend quality time with a child one hour per week during the school year.

Tutors and Classroom Assistants
|
Assist the After-School teachers as needed, with homework, reading groups, playground time, etc…
- A great Service Learning Placement for college students. We currently have a relationship with UNCC, JCSU, Queens College, CPCC and Johnson & Wales University.
- Good for high school students and adults with less consistent schedules

Library Helpers
|
General "library maintenance" in the library where elementary students come to read, find books for projects,
and work in the computer lab.

Adult/Family Mentors
|
Develop friendshnip and mentoring relationship with parent/caregiver of children involved in Partners'
programs; provide ministry of presence, encouragement and asssistance as needed, with support of Partners staff.
|
Office/Administrative Support
|
General administrative assistance in the Partners office, up to three hours a week. Hours and days are flexible; M-F 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
