Volunteer Header Graphic
Mentors
Make a difference in the life of a child by building a positive relationship through mentoring. Assist with homework and spend quality time with a child one hour per week during the school year.
Tutors and Classroom Assistants
Assist the After-School teachers as needed, with homework, reading groups, playground time, etc…
  • A great Service Learning Placement for college students. We currently have a relationship with UNCC, JCSU, Queens College, CPCC and Johnson & Wales University.
  • Good for high school students and adults with less consistent schedules
Library Helpers
General "library maintenance" in the library where elementary students come to read, find books for projects, and work in the computer lab.
 
Adult/Family Mentors
Develop friendshnip and mentoring relationship with parent/caregiver of children involved in Partners' programs; provide ministry of presence, encouragement and asssistance as needed, with support of Partners staff.
 
Office/Administrative Support
General administrative assistance in the Partners office, up to three hours a week. Hours and days are flexible; M-F 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
